Emergency water extraction for Metro Detroit homes, day or night
Shut off the water if you can, then call 248-845-0000. A crew arrives in about 60 minutes with pumps and extractors to get the water out before it soaks into walls and floors.
24-hour emergency hotline248-845-0000A person answers, day or nightWhy the first hours matter with standing water
If a pipe burst or an appliance overflowed, shut off the main water valve. In many Michigan homes it's in the basement, next to the water meter. Stay out of water that could touch outlets, cords or appliances. Shut off the breakers for the wet rooms only if the panel is in a dry spot. Then call us.
Water doesn't stay where it lands. Within hours it wicks up drywall, runs under baseboards and flooring, and soaks into carpet pad, subfloor and the bottoms of cabinets. The longer it sits, the more material has to be cut out instead of dried, and the more a simple leak turns into a rebuild.
Our crew starts by confirming the source is stopped and mapping where the water went with moisture meters and a thermal camera. Then we extract room by room, lift furniture onto blocks and remove soaked pad or other materials that can't be dried. Every step is photographed and logged for your insurance claim.
Extraction starts on arrival
Once the leak is stopped and the area is safe, the crew starts pumping and extracting right away.
Drying starts the same day
Before the crew leaves, air movers and dehumidifiers are running in the wet rooms.

What emergency extraction includes
Source and safety check
We confirm the leak is stopped and check for electrical hazards before anyone steps into the water.
Moisture mapping
Meters and thermal imaging show where water traveled under floors and behind walls, past the edges you can see.
Pumping deep water
Submersible pumps clear standing water from basements and other low spots.
Carpet and floor extraction
Extraction tools pull water out of carpet, pad and hard floors before it reaches the subfloor.
Furniture blocked and moved
Furniture goes onto blocks or into dry rooms to stop stains, rust marks and wicking.
Removal of what can't be dried
Soaked pad, swollen particleboard and wet insulation come out and are listed for your claim.
Drying equipment in place
Dehumidifiers and air movers are placed for each room's size and materials, ready to run around the clock.

Signs you need extraction now
- Water standing on any floor
- Carpet that squishes underfoot
- A burst pipe or failed water heater
- A washer, dishwasher or toilet overflow
- Wet drywall near the floor or ceiling

Questions people ask us
Don’t see yours? A person answers 248-845-0000 around the clock.
Can I use a shop vac myself?
For a small spill of clean water, yes. Once water reaches carpet pad, walls or a finished basement, a shop vac only removes the surface water and leaves the rest to soak in. If the water came from a toilet, a floor drain or outside, keep away from it and call us.
Will my carpet be saved?
Sometimes. Carpet soaked by clean water and extracted quickly can often be dried in place, though the pad underneath is often replaced. Carpet touched by sewage or floodwater has to go. We show you what can be saved before anything is thrown out.
What should I tell you when I call?
Your address, where the water is coming from, whether it's still running and how many rooms are wet. Tell us if the water came from a drain or toilet, since that changes the safety gear. If your insurance carrier and policy number are handy, share them, but don't let that delay the call.
Does insurance pay for emergency water extraction?
It depends on your policy and the cause. Sudden, accidental water from a burst pipe or appliance is often covered, while slow leaks and outside flooding are treated differently. We work directly with your adjuster and provide photos, readings and an itemized scope; the carrier makes the coverage decision.
