A restoration company built in Michigan

RMO Mitigation & Restoration was built in Michigan with two goals: reach damaged property fast, and run every job on systems that hold up under pressure. That is still how we work, from the first call to the last repair.

Shaped by Michigan weather and buildings

Property damage in Michigan follows the seasons. Pipes freeze and split in deep winter. Snowmelt and spring storms push water into basements and overwhelm sump pumps. Summer downpours back up sewers, and high winds bring down trees and power lines. Fires happen in every season.

The buildings shape the work too. Many homes in the region are decades old, with finished basements, plaster walls and aging pipes, and many commercial and industrial buildings are large, busy and hard to shut down.

Those conditions shaped how we built the company. One storm can bring many calls in a single night, and each call needs a crew, equipment and a plan. So we put clear systems behind the work: the same order of steps on every job, the same records kept from the first visit, and crews and equipment ready before the phone rings.

Homes, businesses and industrial sites

We work across three kinds of property, and each one asks something different of a crew.

  • Homes

A flooded basement or a kitchen fire is personal. Families need to know what will be removed, what can be saved and when they can use the space again, so we explain each step before we take it.

  • Commercial buildings

Offices, stores, schools and healthcare spaces often need to stay open while we work. We plan containment, work hours and equipment placement around tenants, staff and the public.

  • Industrial facilities

Plants and warehouses bring large open areas, heavy equipment and production schedules. Drying and cleanup are planned with the facility team so the work fits the operation.

From mitigation through rebuild

The company grew from emergency mitigation into a wider range of work: water damage restoration, structural drying, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, sewage cleanup and large-scale disaster response. Today RMO also handles repairs and reconstruction, so the team that dries a building can put it back together.

For a property owner, that means one company and one set of records from start to finish. The photos, moisture readings and scope from the emergency phase carry straight into the rebuild, and you are not left looking for a second contractor once the drying equipment leaves.

It also keeps accountability in one place. If something in the finished repair doesn't look right, there is no question about which company to call.

Where we are headed

Metro Detroit is home. Our office is at 18000 W 9 Mile Rd in Southfield, shared with our sister companies, RCO Cleaning and RHO Hiring, and our crews work across Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties.

We are also planning growth beyond Michigan. The future services pages on this site describe the countries we are preparing for. Wherever we go next, the approach will be the one we use here: answer fast, work to the standard and finish what we start.
