A Metro Detroit restoration company built to answer the call
RMO Mitigation & Restoration, the Responsible Mitigation Organization, handles water, fire, smoke, mold and sewage damage for homes and commercial buildings, from the emergency to the rebuild.
Call at 3 a.m. A person answers. A crew is at your door in about an hour.
That is the whole idea behind RMO: one company that picks up, shows up, and stays until the last repair is done.
A person, not a recording
Someone who can send a crew answers 248-845-0000, day and night.
A crew in about an hour
Across Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties, with the equipment already on the truck.
A plan you can follow
What we found, what we're doing about it, how long drying will take, and what comes next.
Records your insurer can use
Photos, moisture readings and drying logs, from the first hour.
One company to the last repair
Our own crews rebuild, so the job ends with the company that started it.
Who we are
RMO is locally owned, and it isn’t a franchise. It belongs to the people who run it, and the owners, Vadym Makovey, George Makovey and Jackson Siersma, come out to jobs and work with clients directly. There is no franchise office between you and the people who answer for the work.
We were built in Michigan around a simple idea: when a pipe bursts or a fire is put out, the property owner needs one company that picks up the phone, shows up fast and sees the job through. Our IICRC-certified team covers Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties for homeowners, property managers, businesses and public buildings, from an office in Southfield we share with our sister companies, RCO Cleaning and RHO Hiring.
We keep the work simple to follow: what we found, what we’re doing about it, what it will take to dry, and what comes next. Every job is documented so your insurer, your tenants or your board can see the same picture you do.

What we do
Whatever happened to the building, one company takes charge of it, from the first hour to the last repair.

Water damage
Burst pipes, failed supply lines and water heaters, flooded basements and storm water. We extract the water, find where it went with moisture meters and thermal imaging, and dry the structure to measured goals, with readings every day until it's done.

Sewage backups
Sewer backups through floor drains and toilet overflows are Category 3 water. Our crews work in protective gear, contain the area, remove what can't be saved, then clean, disinfect and dry what can.

Fire and smoke
Board-up and tarping the same day, soot and smoke cleaned from the structure and from the contents, odors removed at their source, and the rebuild after.

Mold and asbestos
Containment, HEPA air filtration and removal to the IICRC S520 standard, with the moisture source found and fixed so it doesn't come back. Asbestos and lead are removed by licensed abatement partners we've worked with for years, coordinated by RMO.

Commercial and large loss
Office towers, warehouses, plants, schools and apartment communities: crews large enough to work several buildings at once, commercial-grade drying, and standby programs so a crew already knows your building.

Biohazard and trauma
Biohazard, trauma and crime scene cleanup, handled discreetly by trained crews in protective gear, with the area cleaned, disinfected and documented.

The rebuild
Framing, drywall, flooring and finishes by our own crews, using the scope and photos from the emergency, so you never have to find a second contractor.

Insurance claims
We will work with any insurance carrier you use. We document the damage from the first hour and work with your adjuster on the scope, and many of our clients have paid nothing beyond their deductible.
We, as owners, come in and work directly with our clients.
When two buildings flood at once
The size of a crew decides whether water stays on one floor or reaches five. Two of our largest jobs, as they happened.
Southfield: two office buildings, two hours apart
Two office buildings on Nine Mile Road flooded within two hours of each other, one of them through seven floors. Our team of 15 was there in 20 minutes and worked both at once. Both buildings were saved.

The second building floods. We work both at once.
Both saved
Seven floors of water out, and drying set up before it spread.
Dearborn: two buildings, seven hours apart
Two buildings flooded seven hours apart. Three other mitigation companies were working the same flood; our crews were the first to arrive, and we sent 30 people to work both buildings at once.

How a job runs with RMO
One company from the first phone call to the last repair, with a plan you can see at every step.

Respond
A person answers 248-845-0000 around the clock, and a crew is on site in about 60 minutes across Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties.

Stabilize
We stop the source, protect what isn't damaged yet, and make the property safe for the people in it and the crew working it.

Dry, clean and document
Extraction, structural drying to measured goals, cleaning and odor work, with photos and moisture readings your insurer can use.

Rebuild
Our own crews handle the repairs, from framing and drywall to flooring and finishes, so the job ends with the company that started it.
Execution, consistency and accountability. That's what defines our work on every project.
