RMO Mitigation & Restoration is preparing to expand into Canada

Today we restore homes and businesses in Metro Detroit, Michigan. We are building the teams, systems and partnerships to bring our water, fire and mould damage services to Canada in the future.

RMO currently serves Metro Detroit, Michigan, and this page describes our planned expansion to Canada.

  • Water damage

Spring thaw, heavy rain and burst frozen pipes flood basements in Canada just as they do in Michigan. Our planned water service covers extraction, moisture mapping and structural drying, checked with daily readings until materials reach their drying goals.

  • Fire and smoke damage

Soot, smoke residue and odour stay in a building long after the fire is out. In Canada we plan to work as we do in Metro Detroit: board-up and tarping, soot removal, odour treatment and repairs, all run by one company.

  • Mould damage

Damp basements and winter condensation give mould the moisture it needs. Our planned process finds and fixes the moisture source, contains the work area under negative air pressure, removes affected materials with HEPA filtration and dries the structure.

About our expansion plans

RMO Mitigation & Restoration is based in Southfield, Michigan, and serves Metro Detroit. Here a person answers our phone 24/7, crews arrive in about 60 minutes, and we work directly with insurance carriers and adjusters.

We are developing a plan to offer the same services in Canada. Before taking on any work there, we are putting the foundations in place: structured operations, trained crews, local partners and a working knowledge of Canadian building codes and insurance practices.

Until we launch, we cannot send crews to Canada. If you have damage now, please call a local restoration company. Property managers, insurers and businesses interested in our plans are welcome to contact us.

What guides our expansion

  • High quality

We plan to hold every new market to the standards we follow in Michigan, including ANSI/IICRC S500 for water damage, S520 for mould and S700 for fire and smoke.

  • Support

Each client will have one point of contact, regular updates and clear records for the insurer: photos, moisture readings, drying logs and an itemized scope.

  • Experience

Our IICRC-certified team handles water, fire and mould damage in Metro Detroit homes and commercial buildings, from emergency response to the rebuild. That work is the foundation for each new market.

  • Individual approach

Building codes, safety rules and insurance practices differ from country to country, and in Canada from province to province. We will plan our Canadian operations around them.
