24/7 emergency response for Metro Detroit homes
Call 248-845-0000 at any hour. A person answers, a crew is dispatched, and help reaches your home in about 60 minutes to stop the damage from spreading.
24-hour emergency hotline248-845-0000A person answers, day or nightWhat to do now, and what happens after you call
If anyone is hurt or the house is on fire, call 911 first. If water is running, shut off the main valve. Turn off power to a wet area only if you can reach the breaker panel without standing in water. After a fire, stay out until firefighters have cleared the house. Then call us, and take photos while you wait if it's safe.
The first visit has one goal: stop the damage from growing. That means stopping the source, getting standing water out, securing openings and setting up drying before the crew leaves. Most emergencies don't end that night. Drying is checked every day until the readings say it's done, and soot, odor and contents are handled as their own steps.
From the first photo, we document the loss for your insurance. RMO works directly with insurance carriers and adjusters, sharing photos, moisture readings, drying logs and an itemized scope. When mitigation is finished, the same company handles the repairs and reconstruction, so one team is responsible for the whole job.
A person answers, day or night
Nights, weekends and holidays, your call goes to someone who can send a crew, not to a voicemail box.
On site in about 60 minutes
Crews cover Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties and arrive with pumps, extractors, drying equipment and board-up materials.

What happens after you call, step by step
A person answers
Call 248-845-0000. We ask what happened, where, whether water is still flowing and whether everyone is out of harm's way.
A crew is dispatched
The crew and equipment match what you described. A burst pipe, a sewage backup and a kitchen fire each need different gear.
The crew arrives
In about 60 minutes the crew is at your door, at 3 a.m. the same as at 3 p.m.
Assessment
A technician checks for electrical and structural hazards, finds the source and maps how far the water or smoke has spread.
Stop the source
We shut off or isolate the leak, tarp the roof or board up broken openings, so no more water or weather gets in.
Extraction
Pumps and extractors remove standing water from floors, carpet and pad before it soaks deeper into the structure.
Drying set-up
Air movers and dehumidifiers go into every wet room, and the starting moisture readings are recorded.
Documentation for insurance
Photos, readings and notes from the first hour become the start of the file your adjuster will review.

Call right away if
- Water is coming through a ceiling or wall
- There's standing water or sewage in the basement
- A fire is out but windows or the roof are open
- A storm or falling tree has opened the house
- Floors, carpet or drywall are soaked

Call us, day or night
A person answers 248-845-0000 at any hour and asks a few quick questions, so the right crew and equipment roll.
On site in about 60 minutes
Across Metro Detroit, an IICRC-certified crew arrives, finds the source and makes the property safe.
Mitigate and document
We stop the damage, extract and dry, and record photos and moisture readings your insurer can use.
Restore and rebuild
Once everything is dry and clean, the same team handles the repairs, from drywall and flooring to finishes.
Why call RMO in an emergency
Work starts on the first visit
The crew comes to stop the damage, not just to look at it and send an estimate later.
Water, fire and storm in one crew
Our IICRC-certified technicians handle extraction, board-up, tarping and drying, so you don't wait for a second company to show up.
One company to the last repair
After mitigation, RMO does the repairs and reconstruction too, so you and your adjuster deal with one company from start to finish.

Questions people ask us
Don’t see yours? A person answers 248-845-0000 around the clock.
How fast can you get to my home?
In about 60 minutes across Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties. During a widespread storm, when many homes call at once, we tell you on the phone when a crew can realistically arrive and what to do until then.
Should I call my insurance company first, or you?
If damage is still happening, call us first. Homeowners policies generally expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage. Then report the claim to your carrier; we document everything from the start and work directly with your adjuster.
What should I do while I wait for the crew?
Stay away from sagging ceilings, standing water near outlets and anything the fire touched. If it's safe, shut off the water, move valuables and rugs off wet floors and take photos. Don't use a household vacuum on water.
I rent my home. Can I still call you?
Yes, and call quickly. Tell your landlord or property manager right away too, since the owner usually authorizes repairs to the building. Your own renters policy may cover your belongings, so let your agent know.
We will restore your property
